Dirt Bike magazine says that the majority of the engine damage they see comes from incorrectly seated air filters or filters that are not cleaned regularly. The last thing an engine needs is dirt inside of the piston chamber. The best way to keep dirt out is to do regular air filter maintenance. Here are some suggestions on how to do this.
